The main services I provide.

Sanding and sealing with either varnish (lacquer) or oil. 

Starting with a rough grit, then progressing to a smooth finish that is ready to accept a clear varnish or oil. 

Filling of gaps.

 This can be done with either wood fillets or solvent mixed with the wood dust. This gives the floor a more 'solid' look that also helps reduce draughts.

Staining to change the floor colour.

This works particularly well on pine floors.

It helps to highlight the grain patterns and gives your floor that unique look. 

Refreshing and cleaning of oiled floors

One of the benefits of oiled floors is that they can be cleaned and a fresh coat of oil can be applied to worn areas. This won't work for every floor, but can be a considerable cost saving in some cases.

Fitting of wood floors. 

These can be fitted as 'floating' floors or glued/secret nailed.

Preparation of sub floor. 

Lots of options available inc.screeding, laying chip board onto joists, or making good on existing sub-floor. This is an essential process to give the best results.

Thresholds, ramps, skirting undercut and more.

There's a whole range of finishing options available to help join a newly fitted floor to existing flooring. I'm happy to talk through the options when quoting. 

Repairs.

Sometimes there needs to be a little extra TLC before sanding can take place.

I can offer a full range of repair and replacement options. Everything from re-securing boards lifted by other trades to replacing boards affected by woodworm.

Hearth removal.

Old hearths can be removed, new joists fitted and boards can be patched in to hide the area. 

Extras.
